The Weekend Bliss Continues...

This weekend again was the only time we had a chance to see Ben at all (hopefully that will start changing this week). So, we let daddy decide where he wanted to spend his free time, and of course his choice was the beach. Is there really any other option for him? It's one of his all time favorite places to be ever.

Our hunt for a beach that was less crowded and had bigger waves led us to Ventura, Buenaventura State Beach to exact. It was absolutely fantastic! Lizzie got to play in the sand, Heidi and I got to relax on the beach, and Ben got to go in the ocean and play with his boogie board. It doesn't get much better than that! I think this is our favorite beach so far and Ben wants to go back every weekend already. Since Ben's the only one that goes in the ocean though (and Heidi doesn't "do" oceans) I think next time we're going to check out one of the many lakes nearby. Just for something different. Maybe Lizzie will get in the water then... she's a little afraid of the big, overwhelming ocean.
