Look Mom... You'd be so Excited...

Oh, yes the day has finally arrived and I have released my inner creativity... well not really, but you get the ideal! ;) I have now officially joined the ranks of thousands upon thousands (maybe millions I don't know...) of moms who scrapbook. You heard me right - scrapbook. I know... so not what you were expecting, huh?! Thanks Mel and Heidi B. it's all your fault (if you don't really care you can totally stop reading at any moment, it won't hurt my feelings and I'll understand completely). ;) But, Mom you'd be so proud!

Now, I'm warning you there's nothing fancy or cutesy about my pages. They are simple, clean and straight to the point... just the way I like everything else! ;) Don't get me wrong I like the occasional accessory, flower, or frilly fluff, but just not thrown up all over the page like so many I've seen. Just as long as there is some form of balance and order all is good in my little wanna be world of I-think-know-graphic-design".

So, every now and then I'll throw on here a couple of pages and you'll get to see what I do when Ben's up until 4am working on some crazy project, soon to be school assignments, or working OT, which has started already (my poor husband, he never gets to take a break).

Here's a couple of my very first ones... enjoy!

Sick Day(s)...

Poor baby... I don't think I have ever seen her this sick before. I'll spare you all the horrifying details, the many baths and endless changes of clothes. Lizzie's all better now and back to her usual spunky self after two whole days of lying in our bed looking so sad and pathetic. I'm amazed that even so sick she can still take a great picture (she was much paler and grumpier in person) and look at those eyes are they not the biggest, bluest eyes you have ever seen?

Another Day at the Park...

Oh, the park... I think we're here at least two times a week. Especially now that it feels like summer and Lizzie hates being cooped up in a stuffy, hot apartment (oh, how I wish we had a backyard)! She always has a great time no matter where we go, and she absolutely loves playing with all the little kids. And as you can see from the picture below it has officially started... the boys are already chasing after her. Too bad I wasn't fast enough with the camera and you would have seen that Lizzie was the one who actually initiated the chase! For some reason Lizzie just loves Ethan and Ethan loves her just as much... it's too cute when the two of them are together.

On a side note... I've got to get that girl to wear some sunglasses and soon before she has no eyes left! ;)

More Beach Pictures...

A Day at the Beach...

Oh, how I love living in California! This last Saturday we (yea... now Heidi too) all went to Santa Monica, hung out at the lovely beach and enjoyed the warm sunshine. Sorry... I'm not really trying to rub in it in, but it was a really nice day. Ben and I have not had a chance to go anywhere near the beach since we moved down here so, when Heidi said she had the day off we had no choice but to take advantage of the situation. Santa Monica was a lot of fun, but I think Ben wants to find a beach that will not be so crowded in summer and one that has bigger waves for his board. He was a little heartbroken that the ocean was so calm. I liked it though. Nice and peaceful and barely any wind... pretty perfect if you ask me.

The LA Zoo

Here's some pictures of our trip to the zoo with some of our friends (yes, I have friends now and so does Lizzie)! ;) The zoo is actually a lot closer to our house than I originally thought it was. It's only 2 exits pass Ben's work, so it only takes about 25 minutes to get there. It's a fairly big zoo except half of it is under construction, so it feels slightly smaller (it's still a lot of fun though). I think we're going to have to get a season pass... I have a feeling we'll be frequent visitors, since Lizzie loves the zoo and seeing all the animals.
