Cupcake Party...

Now that everybody's back to school down here (for almost 2 weeks now) we're actually starting to do more events (with my mom's group that is). Which is nice... I've missed them. Ah, the end of the summer vacations and back to a somewhat normal schedule. Not that it really matters to us, Lizzie's not in school and will not be for quite some time, but for most it's a pretty big deal... I guess. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.

Today we had a cupcake party for the preschoolers and I thought I'd share some pictures with you guys. Lizzie was hilarious with her cupcake decorating, or lack thereof. She got really mad at me when I put frosting on top and ruined her cupcake. Apparently frosting is "icky" and all she wanted was the plain cupcake and plateful of mini m&m's... and a few mickey sprinkle on the side. Crazy little girl. Oh well, what are you going to do... one more cupcake for me!

Heidi's Pool...

Thank goodness for Heidi's pool. We were all going to go to the aquatic center, but when we arrived it was closed for a "special event", even though their website told a different story. Anyways, it was too late to go to the lake, so it was Heidi's pool to the rescue. Lizzie's still really funny when it comes to the water. She's very excited at first and you can't get her out of the pool, than all of the sudden she wants out and just wants to play around the pool. Ben managed to get her back in somehow on the little floaty thing, but it was pretty short lived. I'm sure one of these days pretty soon we'll never be able to get her out no matter how hard we try. ;)

Trip to the Zoo...

These are some pictures of our trip to the LA Zoo, which is now under even more construction (if that's even possible). I don't think we'll be going back for awhile (at least until they're done with some of the major renovations), which is kind of sad since Lizzie loves the zoo, but there's just not very many animals left to see and it was way too hot, so the ones that were there were all hiding. It was still nice to get outside and have some family time together though.

Saturday at the Park...

Last Saturday we spent the afternoon playing at the park with Auntie Heidi's newly adopted beagle, Mable, while she was at work. Lizzie absolutely adores that dog and is constantly asking about "Heidi's doggie"... it's so cute. So, now Ben wants a dog (thanks Heidi), but I have to keep reminding him that in 4 months we're already adding on to our family with a new baby, and that he wouldn't be the one to take care of it since he's at work all day long (somehow I'd be stuck with it all and 2 kids). It's kind of funny because around this same time last year I was the one pestering him about getting a dog and now he's doing the same back to me. ;) Anyways, we can't even have pets where we're at now anyways, so maybe sometime this next summer if he's still serious. Until then we'll just enjoy Heidi's new dog, Ben can still get his fix, and I still get to keep my sanity... for a little while longer that is.

Our baby's a...

It's a GIRL! That's right another cute, adorable, big blue eyed (well that we don't know yet) little baby girl. Lizzie is going to have a sister (I always wanted a sister). ;) I'm really convince that no matter how many times we get pregnant it will always be a girl... I think that's all Ben has in him. Anyways, just thought I'd share the fun and exciting news. Hooray for little girls! ;) Good thing we kept all of Lizzie's clothes and stuff, because it will all come in very handy now.

Ben and Steve's Excellent Adventure...

A bliss filled weekend of everything toys, comics, film, tv, games and artists (and more toys)... the biggest geek fest in the country, nay the world, better know as Comic-Con San Diego. That weekend was all those two boys could talk about all week long, and rightly so (Ben's still talking about it), from the way it sounds there's nothing like it in the know universe. Crazy amounts of people packed into a convention center, with even crazier people dressed up in costumes, and a crazy amount of things to spend all of your hard earned money on. Personally I think they're both slightly insane to want to spend 3 whole days in beautiful, sunny San Diego inside with a million other smelly people, but oh well at least they seemed to have the time of their lives. Glad you boys had a great time. Ben... I'm ready for my vacation now too! ;)

Playdate at the Beach...

Not this last weekend, but the Sunday before all of us (well most of us) from the mom's group had a family day at the beach in Ventura. As you can see from the pictures it was slightly cold and cloudy out that day (as it always seems to be in Ventura), but it was still a great day to just hang out at the beach and have the whole family come out and play.
