How does anything ever get done?
Now that Lizzie is almost 11 months old I feel like, now more than ever, I can not get anything done. I have become the full time entertainment director for an extremely energetic, dangerously curious little baby. I can't even enjoy a simple cup of coffee in the morning without plucking her from some bookshelf or fishing her out of some corner she got herself stuck in. She has become totally and completely all consuming. Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to complain. It's fun to watch her personality blossom with her new found independence, and I love how she's in constant awe over everything she finds, even if it's the same toy 20 times later (I wish I could have some of that)! I just wish I could have a day to catch up. Just one day, that's all I ask. I don't get it. Back when I was working I could do a million things at the same time and now I feel like I can't even accomplish two. It's so frustrating! You know it's a little out of control when your husband has no clean underwear for the whole weekend and we're drinking out of the baby's plastic cups because all of the glass ones are dirty. You think I would be able to get things done when Ben's home, but most of the time that's even worse. I feel like I end up sometimes having two babies to take care of then, or I just wanting to relax and hang out, not spending my time doing chores. I'm hoping the longer and longer I do this the easier it becomes to find a balance between the two. I hope otherwise I'm in BIG trouble! I enjoy playing with Lizzie too much during the day to just leave her in the crib to go do the dishes. As for right now balance is a word that has been omitted from my vocabulary.

Happy Easter!
Oh, the rain... will it ever stop? Oh, well today was still a really great day despite the weather. We spent the majority of the afternoon over at Ken and Betty's house, with about 20 other people. It was a lot of fun to just chat and hang out with some old friends over a really nice lunch. No Easter egg hunt though because of the rain. Lizzie did amazingly well. She's such a good baby! She ate when we ate, took a long nap in her travel crib, and thoroughly enjoyed all of the extra attention. She's such a ham. She loved to show off what a fast crawler she is. Lizzie was hilarious this afternoon with her Easter basket, too. We got her some little people animals for her Noah's Ark set, which she loves, but she has the shortest attention span I have ever seen! So the basket was fun for about 5 seconds, and then onto something else. Happy Easter everybody!

We finally made it...
I can't believe we actually made it to church this morning. It's seems like every week we have really good intentions and then something inevitably goes wrong. Last week we missed because of the time change. Totally forgot all about it, oops. And then the week before that Lizzie started having issues and ended up sleeping all morning. And the week before that I don't remember what happened. All I remember is our car was stolen earlier that week. I think we're going to aim for the earliest service at 9:30am and then if we're running late we can enjoy some coffee and maybe some breakfast and be on time for the 11am service. Sundays always feel so messed up I don't know why. It would be easier if Lizzie woke up a little earlier, just on Sundays though. (I can't believe I just said that. I love it when she sleeps in!) Lizzie is totally daddy's little girl, she loves to sleep in and just hang out in bed for the longest time. Some mornings she's not even up at 9:30am. Next week should be even easier for us to get there since there's 3 morning services for Easter.

Are we in Seattle?
I feel like we're living in Washington right now. We've had 28 days of rain in the last month and it's still raining. I though this was California... it doesn't rain this much here. There's even mud slides and flooding in a lot of places. This state is definitely not made for the rain. It's painful and depressing. You can't go out and play, or go for a walk, or even spend a day at the beach. It's suppose to be sunny and 70 degrees already. Well enough complaining about the weather. I'm sure you guys all feel so sorry for us! :) Well got to go beat Ben's high score on a video game. We would be outside, but it's raining!
