Making Cookies...

Mmm... cookies. For some reason this pregnancy I crave sweet stuff, which is slightly odd for me since I would totally consider myself a salty kind of girl, so last week Lizzie and I made cookies. I know, it was a weird day... for those of you who know me I don't bake at all. I actually really dislike any part of baking, but these were not your ordinary cookies, these were eggnog cookies, that's right eggnog cookies with homemade eggnog frosting (they go exceptionally well with our afternoon eggnog lattes). Ben and I are eggnog freaks just in case you were wondering. It's a good thing we only get to enjoy it 2 months out of the year otherwise we'd be in big trouble. ;) And yes, Lizzie loves eggnog too. But back to the cookie making... Lizzie had a blast cutting out all the "baby" cookies and "mommy" cookies (with boy and girl cookie cutters) and rolling out the dough. She's such a great little helper in the kitchen. I thought for sure she would love frosting the cookies, but apparently anything that is a syrup or a sauce is "icky" and she didn't want to have any part in that. So, we left some purposely unfrosted just for her.
