Yea! Lizzie is finally walking on a more consistent basis now. She's still not walking exclusively, but it is more frequent and she finally does it in the presence of others. Before she was very shy about it. I don't know if she was unsure of herself, wanted to practice in private, or just didn't want to be embarrassed when she fell. Who knows... I have been waiting for the day she gives up crawling for sometime now. She's too big (and lanky, she's a tall little girl) to carry around all the time and she wants to get down every time we're out somewhere (like Safeway, Target etc). But I know the moment I put her down she'll crawl... not walk. Hopefully soon she'll make the switch.
She's a funny girl, she definitely has her preferences when it comes to everything. If Lizzie's sitting in a shopping cart she doesn't like to sit the "normal" way with her legs through the little holes facing me. She has to sit sideways so she can see what going on around her and still be able to see daddy or myself. It's pretty amazing that she knows already how to manipulate her environment to get exactly what she wants. One smart little girl we have here!
